Get Your Congregation Involved In Our Local Mission!
Crosslines welcomes and encourages your congregation to donate their emergency needs of qualifying families. Currently, volunteers from 31 of our 60 active congregations give four hours of service one day each month. Volunteering means your members will be available to help meet families that need your help the most

Volunteers Always Welcome
Crosslines food and clothing center needs many volunteers. They will be trained to assist clients and handle the work details of the center. By working directly with the clients, volunteers receive the benefit of knowing they are actually carrying out God's commandments.

Emergency Food Program
Crosslines request that each congregation set aside at least one Sunday per month to donate food items giving them an opportunity for “hands on mission giving”.  An average of 375 food request per month - generally on referral from the Jasper County Family Support Division - are filled by volunteers. We strive to give our clients a wide variety of foods in order to help fulfill their needs and keep their families strong and on the road to self-sustainability.

Resource & Referral Program
Crosslines office staff is always prepared to refer clients to those in the community who can provide services in an emergency situation. They are also able to inform and educate the clients about community resources available that can offer additional support to their family

Special Program
Crosslines provides m special programs to q layettes are available can be provided to c school personnel. jeans, underwear an to children in grades K12. Stocking caps, mittens and gloves are available during the winter months and a Christmas toy shop is set up each December for children of Crosslines' shoppers. We also offer our clients a sewing class that is held twice per year.

Funding & Grants
Crosslines also provides assistance with past due rent and utilities for qualifying, low-income clients. The funding for our rent and utility assistance comes from the United Way and is administered by the Regional Health and Welfare Board. Donations from churches and individuals in the community as well as grants from the Freeman R. Johnson Trust, Jasper County Association for So Inc., Wal-Mart, and the Lemons vital to Crosslines' survival. T our organization in a position to continuously help families in need. Financial statements are available upon request.

How You Can Help
Encourage your congregation to participate in the Crosslines program, and include our organization in your outreach budget. Crosslines spends an average of $5000 per month on food, utilities and rent assistance for area families and for day to day operations. We are always looking for additional resources to help us continue our mission of serving those in need.
Join our group of Crosslines volunteers by working one day per month at the distribution center.
